Hi, I'm Hoa Nguyen
I am from the South of Vietnam, where the sunshine spreads through the rice paddies of the Mekong Delta like gold, and helps to grow the exotic ingredients which create Vietnamese cuisine. I have a fond memory of following my Dad across the rice fields to get to the local market, and buying a big, jumping fish which we used later to make the soup of the day.
I started my cooking career over 20 years ago. There were many inspirations which shaped my passion for cooking over the years, in many restaurants, adding up to many culinary journeys. Journeys that were full of love and flavours, kind and sweet like the Vietnamese people.
My biggest journey brought my family and I to Australia, where Brisbane stole my steps and kept me for itself. I have learn so much from the local community here and built a strong connection with this land far beyond my expectations.
They say that you can build your home anywhere, and I now dedicate my passion for food to recreating the culinary memories of my homeland right here in the heart of Brisbane.
